Theme speaker: Marva J. Dawn
A teacher,
theologian, musician, and best-selling author, Marva J. Dawn
has written
many provocative, biblically-grounded books. She is a scholar
with four
Master's degrees and a Ph.D. in Christian ethics and the Scriptures.
Marva is also a popular speaker for youth
conventions, lay retreats,
and clergy conferences. She works with
Christians Equipped for Ministry,
based in Vancouver, Washington, and
serves as adjunct professor of spiritual
theology at Regent College,
Vancouver, British Columbia.

Families are a big part of the
community of 53rd
Weekend
This year we continue with our exciting
Just for Kidz program designed
for children age 12 and under. Children will
gather during our Theme Speakers'
addresses and elective times. With
activities tailored to both primary and
junior ages, we will ensure this
time is fun, educational and entertaining.
Bring your play clothes and
prepare to experience the joy and freedom of
being God's child. Parents are
free to enjoy their own elective knowing
that their children are in the
capable hands of our Diocese's best youth
coordinators.
Families
will be accommodated in the student residence suites which offer
a common
area to meet and play and private bathrooms. Share the gift of

with the whole family!

- Our
Bellringers - Richard & Joan Hryniw will celebrate Morning
Prayer
Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 a.m.
- Space is provided in the Chapel for
those who seek quiet space at any
time. Materials will be provided for
those who are moved to be creative
in the midst of their quiet.
- Chaplains are available throughout the weekend for anyone who wishes
to talk about personal concerns.
- Financial assistance is available
from the Diocesan Lay Bursaries Fund
