Chancel Drama - New for 2001
Have you ever wanted to add some spice and variety to your Sunday morning worship service? Learn how to use Chancel Drama to bring alive the scriptures and readings within the context of Sunday worship. Chancel Drama - as defined for this session - is the dramatization of the scripture passages during the worship service. Adding drama to worship can enhance the understanding of the stories we tell for both the participants and the observers.

In this elective you will learn that it doesn't need to take more than a few minutes of the service to make a big impression. Practice sessions don't need to take a lot of time but are essential to ensure that participants are familiar with their role and that the presentation will run smoothly. Learn by doing and have the information needed -if you are daring enough - to take the ideas back to your own parish and try them out. Join Marel Fielding and Linda Cousins of St. George's, London who will share their experiences of presenting Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and other programs.
